Buildind a 29 Pickup with a Flathead motor. Bought a Aluminum (China?) radiator for a F/H in a Model A but too small (17" wide but need at least 19"+ wide) as it swims in a stock shell. Also bottom outlets don't line up. Anyone had this problem or know where to get a good radiator? JOHN

Brassworks made a radiator for my 29 AV8.

  3. I just replaced the radiator in my 29 RPU with a 4" core Brassworks. The radiator is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, and they were great to deal with. Pricey, but sometimes "cheap is expensive"!

Call Walker. Good folks, great product, no complants. Tell them what you are doing and what you need and they will build a great rad. Iceman

Brice Thomas Radiator (find em on e-pay). (USA!!) These guys sell a quality radiator for a fair price. They even send you a dimensioned drawing for your approval before they build it!
Mine was for a shortened deuce shell / flathead application. Set up on a stand, this radiator cools very well...engine idles forever with no overheating. Also, they will built it with larger core tubes if you prefer. I am not associated with these guys whatsoever...just happy with their product.

  6. I bought a Walker radiator for my AV8 project, the bottom inlets line up PERFECTLY with my flathead and the shell fits nice too after I welded up and re-drilled the holes in the lower radiator tabs. Height is also perfect for 28/29 cowl when ordered 2" short than stock 32 height. Overall I feel the Walker rad a very good investment on a car otherwise built out of gennie Ford parts.
