So, my radiator needs a new core and i got a couple of estimates to have it done and they all came in around $200-$300, which i wasnt expecting. then someone told me i could probably buy a brand new radiator for that much. Im sure someone out there has replaced a core or bought a new radiator before so i was looking for suggestions of brands or where to get one. Thanks for the help

Walker makes an extremely high quality radiator for a 54 Ford. They are not cheap though. However, if you want the best and want to retain a stock looking radiator, it's the way to go. I'm personally saving my $$ to buy one.

Your other choice is to use an early mustang radiator, which can be bought from AutoZone, etc. I've heard these work, but am not sure about which exact one you should ask for. The drawback, of course, is that it won't look stock, but if that's not important to you, then it's a much cheaper route to take.

they are expensive. mine had a hole in it an I had asked how much to get a new one I ws quoted at 500. I had the hole in my radiator repaired and luckily the hole held. 60 bucks. Let us know what you come up with?

Had my '56 recored last summer, $385 in Michigan. $200-$300 sounds like a deal to me.

Both Speedway and Summit have aluminum radiators $150-175 that cool better than stockers, some of the guys at 1954ford.com have used them with almost no modification and they are also available with the inlet and outlets in different locations in case you have done an engine swap.
