Ran fine when we drove it in here. Parked it 'cause it needed a muffler. Gonna put it on E-Bay next week if you don't take it. I even got the title, 'course it's in gramps name and he died in 74 but you shouldn't have any problem gettin' it transfered. I do it all the time. [IMG]

That is a lot better than the 53 Merc I got a crank out of. Sat with no hood in a field for decades. Rolled it over, and wound up torching the rods to get the crank, a virgin in perfect condition!

That one in the auction has several hundred $$ in good parts.

Stamped steel bell house and matching starter mount, rear quarter spears, headlight rims and rings, crank, and who knows what else.

If that was a local car I'd be all over it for $50.

I call dibs seriously I'm bid on it. If any body need parts assuming I win, big assumption let me know. I am going to take what I want and then put the ol girl to rest... [IMG]

  7. I guess I'm not the smartest quill in the quiver but what's a Ford Mercury? Looks like a merc to me.
It would be fun to resurrect, if I was down a couple of projects I'd be all over it. [IMG]

Hey Lucky, I could use the timing cover as well as the quarter spears.

Lucky, count me in, I need some stuff for my 54 Sun Valley. I could use what is left of the front bumper/grille, fenders and dash.
You can cash in on the headlights, I have seen them for $50 at swaps, I have plenty.

I see "Chrysler DeSoto"s for sale on eBay all the time. It's a "DeSoto <model name>" but whatever...

The best auctions are where the guys spell it "DESOTA" even though the item they're selling says "DeSoto" right on it.
