Does anyone have experience with the Secret/Hidden Stereo solution offered by Woody's Custom Shop on EBay? With the "Secret Stereo" and the "6 8 12 Volt Positive to Negative Ground Radio Converter", and a speaker or two, it seems like you could have a pretty complete solution for a couple of hundred dollars that provides FM Radio and option for an MP3 player or SD card for music. My questions are: 1.) Is anyone running this solution in an Early Ford V8 - 6 Volt positive ground? 2.) Is the sound any good? 3.) Does the FM pull stations very well? (Built in antenna only) 4.) Does it draw a lot of power? Can you run it without killing the battery and does it require any changes or adjustments to a stock generator. I am considering this option for a 1936 Ford...to maintain a more stock appearance. I love the sound of the flathead, but on some longer drives a little music can sooth the soul . Thanks
Do not under any circumstance buy that POS. I have tried twice and have learned the hard way. I had the head unit in a custom built overhead console that gave me nothing but problems. They are poorly made and do not support a IPhone. Their sound quality is extremely poor and their customer service sux. Search the net and you will quickly see what I am talking about. If you search the HAMB there is a huge amount of info on this subject.
