Its just around the corner now!!! The Radir Wheels Hot Rod Party will be on Wed. August 27th 2008.

The Rules:

- CARS 1972 AND OLDER ONLY....NO NEW CARS AT ALL, AND NO MOTORCYCLES.

-NO TRAILERS ON THE PROPERTY THIS YEAR.

-PLEASE BRING SOMETHING TO DRINK AND OR EAT SUCH AS WATER, SODA, HOT DOGS, HAMBURGERS, BUNS, BEER, ETC.

Rich - Although we've never met, I attended last year for the first time and had a blast ! I go to about 3 or 4 cruise nights per week during the summer, plus E-town/Carlisle, but I've been waiting all year for this event ... It's the Super Bowl of car shows. I'm taking off work tomorrow so I can wash/wax my '71 Corvette. See you tomorrow - Jay

And once more, I've missed it. Just got home from work. My boss suckered me into working late and late turned into later. Oh well, guess I'll wait for Al's pics.

 

Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who's there. He said there is a killer turnout with loads of awesome cars. The shitty thing is that there is no burnout pit this year because some moron dumped some chick out of the bed of his truck onto the road showing off and she had to be taken to the hospital. I guess the 5-0 put the kabosh on the vehicular festivities. Bummer, and I'd like to hear the real story as what I'm reporting is hearsay

 

Joe, I saw the whole thing....What happened was some asshole trailered basically a race 55 chevy pick-up there, pulled it off the trailer somewhere around the corner and packed his friends into the bed of the truck. He was passing by the front of the show and at about 35 mph nailed the gas and dumped a girl out of the back of the truck, she hit the ground hard and went rollin. The asshole didnt even know what he did and pulled into the driveway, the guys at the gate had to tell him what he did. The truck had no plates on it so I assume it isnt registered. She wasnt moving much for a little while, but seemed ok after she was put on the stretcher. I was completely AMAZED that his truck wasnt impounded or he wasnt arrested for driving an unregistered vehicle, but whatever, theres always one jerkoff to ruin it for everyone.

 

Mike, thanks for the clarification. That sucks that some jerkoff had to screw up the fun, but it looks like the party was pretty awesome regardless. See you all soon

awesome party once again..i just got home.. and yeah i saw the whole thing with the girl and truck..douchebag romped the gas girl went flying out the truck...i coulda sworn she was done...

Thats true, no spectators...This isnt a "car show", its a party by invitation only, and your invitation is a 1972 and older car.

 

This is true, but you can bring in as many people as will fit in the car.

It's a unique event and Rich keeps making it better every year.

My first time at your party. It was awesome to say the least! Great people. Great cars... I wouldn't have believed that there could be so many fantastic vehicles within driving distance of NJ! Please keep it up. It was my first time but it won't be my last.

A big thanks to Rick & Co. for an excellent time. Take the best parts of a laid back car show and food from a church picnic and morph them together - perfect! 2500 hundred cars on a Wednesday night, I'm still buzzed. I was another 1st timer and I'll be back. This was one of the summer highlights for me and I've been getting out more than usual this season.

Hope someone can update that the girl who feel out of that green '63ish Chevy PU is okay.

 

would have been nice to be told that in advance

on august 27th radir wheels will be hosting thier lead east kick off party.

only cars 1972 and older are allowed in. No motorcycles. You can only get in with a pre-72 car. There is no parking for spectators and no one is allowed in umless they are in an old car.

please bring trays of food, water, soda, and or beer. Please bring cans only.

party starts aroud 5pm.
