   Is installing spacers between the frame and the bolt on stock cross member an accepted method to raise the front of these cars? Thanks!

   It was done quite a bit, back in the day. A piece of 2x4 tubing and up, up, and away.

   Big John Mazmanian did it with wood blocks in his Corvette which has the same suspension.
