It's been a long time since I posted. I recently bought a 49 ford custom and I want to raise the front end 2-3 inches. Going for a early gasser look. front end has been rebuilt and I'm running a flattie v8. Can't seem to find any info. Thanks.

All it may need is new stock springs. I’m sure they have settled some in 70 years. These cars tend to run a little nose high any way.
Personally I would just drive it, maybe hop it up.

Gassers can mean anything. The default “Look” is the almost cartoon nose high stance.
If you look at gassers from the historical perspective rather than the cult perspective, you’ll see all kinds of stuff. Some early gas class cars can look pretty much stock.
Those don’t fit the narrative though, do they?
    Different things, different time periods....,
    1959????
    1965?????
    Lots of differences.

Another thing is the go rather than the show.
Would there really be a heavy sedan “gasser”’ flathead powered?
