My brother bought a 1965 Rambler Ambassador ragtop a couple years ago for a project. He is about to get it running for real, after tossing around for quite awhile. The fuel sending unit was held into the tank with a full tube of red silicone sealant. Guess that's why the gas gauge didn't work? Got all the crap peeled off, and new parts installed. Add an external electric fuel pump, a new water pump and fuel pump, and rebuilt the carb. Took it for a drive today. It would die at the lights, but would start again after a 10 minute cool down. Back to the shop, but soon it will be cruising the Sonic drive-ins and hitting local car shows here in Doodah. You won't see another one, right? I don't even recall seeing these things when I was growing up.

  5. I don't recall seeing a Rambler convertible like that when they were new, that's a good looking car. HRP
