It pretty much ****ed. My 05 Ford power stroke p/u that was pulling the trailer with the Hamb dragster decided not to run anymore in Terre Haute. 3WLarry had to take his 32 on to Indy and then come back and take us to the track. We had changed the intake out a couple of weeks before and due to all the rain in Tulsa we had no test time on the new parts. So Indy was a test and tune for the Ram Rods. Yes! We put a 4 barrell on the flatty. The 97s (3)were just to time consuming to tune. So now were learning the secrets and how to tune the carb. And NO its not a new one,its off a 58T Bird with a lot of work done to it. The good side of Indy was I got to meet some great new friends,Bubba,2bbanjo, and Cowboy Bob.As far as my truck its still in Terre Haute and the trailer and race car is at Bubba's in Indy.
Hi Ted, Sorry to hear about you truck. Most Auto parts houses will lend you a code reader. Could have shut down on low fuel pressure, caused by a fuel filter getting clogged, etc. The computer knows for sure. Dang technology.
We changed the filters before we took it to Ford, didn't work. It blew one of the injectors up according to ford, and when they put in a new one it blew another out. The have been talking to the Ford engineer's to find the problem.
Mr Mac, I sure hope they get your truck figured out for you in a timely manner. If there is anything I can do for you here in Indy give me a call. You guys have my number.
Thanks Tracy! Ford called me yesterday and said my truck was fixed. Now all I have to do is figure out when I can come get it. I will probably fly into Indy. Bubba said he would pick me up and haul me and the race car to Terre Haute.THANKS BUBBA
