I have only seen a couple of wagons with this molding/paint oattern...
Is this factory or? Does anyone have a pair (LR) of these moldings? I think I like it! Quarter Molding 1.jpg

Its not a Canadian option. My wagon came with it. I dont remember if it was a Mainline or Crestline option though. 20230706_155530.jpg

Could be a special edition model. Ford has done this every so often. Like the Mustang California Specials

    Thanks nos....Hey Longroof....gimme those moldings!

  7. That trim was an extra-cost option on the Customline, and Mainline if the upper trim was selected. The trim is common to all models, you don't need a wagon-specific part.

  8. I should note that this is only true for the '56 models. The '55 Mainline was truly a plain-jane model, zero bright trim on the sides or around the front and rear windows was offered. Ford got complaints, so added the shortened Customline trim to the Mainline option list in '56. The one in post #3 is fully-optioned for a Mainline. One other detail: the 'spear' right behind the door was blank on the Mainline (note the 'Ranch Wagon' script on the front fender), the Customline version had the model name embossed on them, no script.
