Random notifications from the hamb app.

I am getting random notifications for random threads that I am not subscribed to from the hamb app on my android phone. It started earlier this month and I wasn't even signed into the app. I checked before signing in that notifications were turned off and still got random notifications. I signed in on the app for the first time since I have had this phone (well over a year) and made sure notifications were turned off. Still I am getting notifications.

Is there something wrong? Is there something I am missing? I am to the point of removing the app if this continues to happen.
