I'm sure that I'm not the only one that buys a project car, tinkers with it, drives it and then your focus changes and you want something new. I got started on a Model A phaeton banger that I had to sell before completion due to some economical reasons. After that I had a '53 Customline which I really liked except for its Fordomatic trans that was plain boring and bought a very nice black Model A coupe instead. That was fun in its own way but deep down I felt that it wasn't for me, atleast not in its stock form and then I got an offer for it that I couldn't refuse before I could turn it into the hot rod of my dreams. For the past year I've been working on and driving a MK1 ****** that I've done some suspension upgrades on and an engine swap for a hopped up 1600cc instead of the stock 1100cc. Fun car but once again I find myself looking at american iron again, more specific Shoebox Fords and Model A's. Maybe the time has come to build that traditional AV8 roadster of my dreams or mild custom Shoebox. The Shoebox would require more money to buy but I could drive it while I modify it as I go, the AV8 would require less money up front if I start with a bare frame and go from there but I wouldn't be able to drive it for a few years. Don't know where I'm going with this rambling of mine, just needed to ventilate my thoughts in written words.
