  12. I have nothing fancy in the way of manifolds, but some heads some of you may or may not have seen. Picked these up many years ago and the 'fish market swap' that some of you melbourne people may have been to. Only ever seen one other set on Tony C***ars green 34 3w.
I also know of a guy with a set of Allard heads, brand new in the box, he bought them when he was a kid, he is very i'll now, but still wont part with them until the 'right' buyer comes along. I know nothing on these Allard heads, does anyone here?

waggot out of sydney, mostly boat stuff, have seen some intakes too.

the ALLARD heads are for the british ALLARD sports car, do a search and you will find plenty of info on them, there's a few around melbourne and even one with ARDUN heads on it.

Not really that rare over here but a lot of you American guys won't have seen an Aquaplane intake for the baby EnFo banger. Takes two 2.25" SU carbs:

    And the matching exhaust:

The one on the car at the moment is a one piece chromed inlet/exhaust made by GN Silencers. Long 4-1 exhaust and a single 30mm intake. I'll get some pics :)

The "SPECIAL"" brand of heads and twin manifold were originally made in 1947 by Phipps patternmakers of Tempe in Sydney ,for the late RON BELSHORE who raced them in his boat ""MAKSIKAR"" on the Georges river .He held speed records with his boat that also ran twin distributers.I now own the patterns for these and other obscure speed goodies .

Here's one shown before, but it's pretty unusual, a Harry Hull intake for a sixty. Hull was famous around here for his midgets, especially his crossfire V/8 sixties. I know he made six of these, heard last one sold for $700. (have another rough casting which is totally different, will shoot it if there's any interest)

Here's the other one, never saw another, and not finish machined, but it shows, I think, what Mr. Hull had in mind.

this is i think a early Johnston,it has only the the casting makers mark on it
The central pattern &Foundry Co Chicago
I looked on the the history of this Company and they were closed down in 1941

    this is what I found

Here is a cutting from the internet about the Central pattern and foundry Co Chicago.

    Monday, Oct. 27, 1941

The first priority violator to be caught (TIME, Oct. 20) received its punishment last week. The victim: Chicago's Central Pattern and Foundry Co., found guilty of using its priority rating to buy illegally 6,075 Ib. of aluminum s**** from Milwaukee S**** Metal Co., 19,530 Ib. from Brodey Brothers; and of illegally selling for non-defense uses 2,739 Ib. of aluminum to Farnsworth Telephone & Radio Co. (jukebox castings), 8,787 Ib. to 0. D. Jennings Co. (coin machines), 17,199 Ib. to Mills Novelty Co. (coin machines), 5,613 Ib. to Haywood Wakefield Co. (railroad-coach seat parts), 3,962 Ib. to Eastman Kodak Co. (Kodak parts), 3,149 Ib. to Filtex Corp. (vacuum-cleaner castings).
Central Pattern's punishment: suspension of its aluminum operations until
March 31, 1942, except for defense orders already started, which will require 288,000 Ib. Because the company also fabricates br*** and zinc products, some of its 250 employes will still work.
Said Company President Frank P. Battle: "I believe the Government is all wet."
Warned Priorities Director Donald M. Nelson: "We're going to take every action ... we can take to bring compliance."
Some 1,800 other companies, including Central Pattern's customers and suppliers, are under investigation.

This is an unfinished V8-60 Fuel Injection Manifold I have owned for a long time. Don't know who made it, no name in the casting. It's a Hilborn copy, but in miniature with one-inch throttle bores. No throttle plates or shafts were ever completed or installed. Would be a nice addition to a Bonneville car running a "60".
