Rare Parts and e-bay

What am I missing here........?

Every time there is a post about e-bay and the price of rare parts like Kinmont Brakes or Ford 18" accessory wheels etc. the post gets closed by a moderator.

E-bay and the prices relating to some of these rare parts is a very big part of our hobby, like it or not, and something, I believe, many of us are interested in. What is the drama and controversy that every time one of these threads is started the moderators feel they need to close the thread. Just when the discussion gets going ...... BANG ! ..... the thread is closed. What is the unacceptable part of these threads? Way is this not of interest to us on the HAMB? What is it that warrants the closing of these threads.?

Excessive drama always brings out the police. Just like in REAL life.

I must say,e-bay does set some type of bar for vintage parts,For the guys that have the cash and want the parts delivered to the front door,and dont want to hunt at swap meets for them.I do agree e-bay and the internet, is a huge part of our hobby.

I didnt see this thread earlyer so I didn't close it, but I would have if I did.

Ebay links are always Deleted ( unless its a really historically important Traditional Hot Rod or Custom... that happens maybe once a year, or less )

Ebay rants, disputes and *****ing about prices are Deleted or Closed too.

We are not the Ebay Police.
