I'm pretty sure those smooth wheels are Foresight Ventures. As mentioned in another post they are very similar to the front runner Fenton Gyro wheel. I know they were made in 15 x 7 & 15 x 8 1/2.
Are you interested in selling your pair?

  2. How about Fish brand? I have a set of 15x4.5 Halibrand copy wheels.

old set of ET's from wall nut creek era 2 14s 2 15s. does anybody know what these were called I think the super's wheel spokes were pointed these are more rounded. 20230306_183905[1].jpg 20230306_183918[1].jpg 20230306_183817[1].jpg they are all aluminum & had no lip at the edge I polished these it was a pretty big job for me. they were pretty rough cast. going to get tires mounted tomorrow for my 61 Sunliner. I have read this thread several times it is one of my favorites & don't think I have seen any like them

thank you so much. all 4 wheels I have are 6" wide maybe the other sizes never made it $200 a set including lugs & tax sounds cheap today but $5 a wheel to polish sounds really cheap even then. I think these are going to look really good on the car now if someone ask me about them at least I will know what they are called .bought the 2 pairs several years apart surprised me that I found a full set

  8. Do you have the correct Uni-Lug washers and lug nuts ?

$200 a set adjusted for inflation today in 2023 is just about $1850! They were not cheap.

  12. If you are talking about the outside edge of the wheel on both sides…yes.

When I say "odd" I mean that I've never seen any other wheel with the type of lip that I've seen on the Halibrand Sprint style wheel made by Fish, and it was only on the inside not on the street side.

  16. They look like Forsight's but that's normally cast into the back

Zero if they used the correct nuts and washers. ETs use a combo shanked and tapered lug with a recessed washer. It’s a solid design.

just thought I had the right washers . I did not know these wheels take a slightly smaller washer the chrome ones will not quite fit in the hole . had a new full set for a Chevy .no ford also looks to take a shank style lug nut not tapered 20230308_214016[1].jpg

  20. The very first Uni-Lug washers from 1966 used the shank lug nuts red catalog page

The taper seat was later. The green page is from my 1968 catalog.

If your car takes a 4 1/2" pattern you need the A offset washer. Maybe your edges are slightly rolled over from the polishing, stopping the washer from sliding in easily ?

I think I need the red page washers & lug nuts the hole in the wheel for the shank is larger than my slots & super 2s the washer on the right fits it is slightly smaller than the tapered washers just the wrong bolt pattern. thanks again for the catalog photos great info.after another look may be the washers are not stamped just right some fit better than others will try again tomorrow

Keystone K Mags - probably the most rare magnesium wheels ever made...

Nice pair of Appliance 15x8s with M&H Racemaster 10 - 28.5 slicks. One day, I'll find a set of front runners.

The modern version of that is "wobble bolts":
    Wobble bolts.jpg
That allows for instance 5x120mm BMW wheels on 5x4¾" GM hubs, or 5x112mm Mercedes-Benz wheels on 5x4½" hubs — or, of course, vice versa.

There is nothing wrong with these, provided you've got hub-centric wheel location. If not, an adapter ring can be made up to fit snugly to the hub centre-hole register.

No pics because they're solidly OT, but the only rarish wheels I've got are two 13" BBS RAs. For the life of me I can't think of a use for only two really very good '70s German forged alloy 13" wheels, apart from perhaps two of the three wheels on a weird sidecar outfit thing, which my fondness for the weird stuff notwithstanding I have no intention of building.

Yes, the 15 x 7 Crestlines are rare. I was very fortunate to luck into a pair of 7s the same day I picked up my 15 x 4 Crestline Mark 11s at a swap meet in Springfield, Ohio many years ago. I had a pair of Crestline 15 x6s many years ago that I sacrificed to get the back side beads off of to make a pair of original aluminum American "D" spokes that were 15 x 7 into 15 x 9s> I didn't care for the Crestline 15 x 6 because they had a weird raised lip in the lug area. Now they are pretty rare. Picture of my Crestlne 15 x 4s.
