My parents bought one about 3' tall at a flea market a few years back for yard art.
I have no idea what they paid for it. Id never seen one before they got it.

I've seen a few for sale, several in Texas and they seem to get more pricey the further north they get

  4. I forgot all about these statues.
The first time I saw one I was in Tijuana literally just on the other side of the border when I was walking back over the border. That was probably 25 or 26 years ago I think at that time they were $200 maybe slightly less I'm trying to remember, It didn't matter It might as well have been a million dollars because if I had $200 it was Just under a week's worth of pay I could have never afforded one if I wanted it. After that time and much more recently I saw a few of them at the Orange county fairgrounds at the Costa Mesa "swap meet" (They only sell
new items I don't know How it can be considered a swap meet but I digress). I want to say they were $450- but that was 5 years ago. At that time I thought I'll just go back over the border and get one... Needless to say I never went back to Mexico I haven't been back actually since that time I originally saw them and if I'm being honest with myself I don't have any intention on going back down there. I do however want a rat fink statue, back in my twenties when I originally saw it. Now I want one And I am not kidding I want to put him on my front porch. I don't live in an HOA and the neighbors probably already think I'm a weird duck.
So I just did a search on craigslist and I did not find any anywhere in the USA. I did find a few old sold listings on eBay That sold for more money ($800-+).
Now I want one and I am going to be on the hunt.

    I ***ume these are hollow?
I'd like one, but also would strongly prefer non-pirate.
Searches found a bunch on ebag and etsy, but none on CL.

@In_The_Pink I am currently trying to get the house in order, let alone the yard and garage.
A drive up that far would require a bit more than a single purchase of a geegaw.
