Found this while on vacation, only got a few pics of it but hoping somebody here can I.D. it. It is a three window, has dual cowl vents and appears to be all steel construction. I was thinking dodge? Maybe somebody here can tell from the firewall.

Why isn't that in your garage. Go clean out everything in the ravine, even the partial cars.

Oh yeah, find the owner and ask permission

Looks like some cars were used for erosion control. Might make good yard art until the neighbors complain.

I am also thinking Es*** or hudson based on the firewall design. As you can see the driver side is pretty much gone. Can't imagine I would have a fun time finding parts for it. There was at least 8 full bodies there, most were almost completely buried. This was a 30-31 A Tudor ad you can see it is almost completely covered.

    Another A Tudor

Most of us would be excited to dig and see what we could drag home. But for the man that dumped that **** many years ago, it was just junk.

Good vacation spot, beats some crowded tourist trap. Better souvenirs too.

I am going back in the morning. It was a very hard spot to get to. Both my wife and I fell getting down there. It is about 75 feet down.

Before you just poke around, what kind of snakes and critters live in your area?

It looks like a log in the pic, not a cannon. That looks like a nice find.

................................Yeah, I would have to agree, Too bad, 'cause a cannon would be a lot cooler than a rotten stump!:D

Nice find! Bring a shovel, cooler and some music. Might get lucky and find a coupe or roadster underneath those ones. Should be able to salvage some good parts.
Did you explore the surrounding area for other car dumping spots?

are these fine parts in the wilds of Michigan? Where about? ;)

  23. Used to be a farmer up north of here that had been using old cars (and refrigerators) to fill a ravine since who knows when. If you were nice he would let you go dig. We dug many a usable body or part out of there about 20 or so years ago.

I have found that if you ask most farmers will let you treasure hunt in the family dump spot.

Good find by the way if the property owner would let me dig I would try and find enough to put a body together. Es***es make good hot rods, some guys say its got to be a Ford but who cares good lines are good lines.

Still, better find the owner first.

You guys are good, yes these are up in the U.P., around munising. I did dig a bit today and found what I think it a 29 A roadster but trees have to be removed in order to see more of it plus there is a cowl and back half to another vehicle on top of it. It is a deep ravine, there might be more cars than I originally thought but most of what I am finding buried under the ground is Swiss cheese.

If you can get anything out, the good half of the car, or a cowl makes a great starting point, or at least some trading material.

See if there are any 4x4 guys around, have them winch it up the hill.
