Just thinking I hope my missus don't poke her head through the loft hatch. She'll find most of a Model A sport coupe body stashed up there.

I've been successfully hiding the fact that I raise hairless pygmy goats in my basement from my wife for 27 years. She thinks that I'm rewriting 'War and Peace' down there.
Shit it's easy to hide a Model A.

She also doesn't have a clue that I'm black.

I always told her that I sold some stuff at the swap meet for way too much money and thats what bought whatever...I don`t know if she ever really believes me, but she`s never given me earache over my car stuff. At one time we were out somewhere and we got talking and I mentioned that there was a steel `32 roadster body(Brookie) for sale at good money and she just said go and buy it!!not the reaction I was expecting and it was me who got all sensible and decided we could`nt really afford it.Pure gold ,my Misses!

You guy's have it easy--I have to hide the rest of the world from the wife. Twice now she's snuck off at flea markets and blown the retirement money on Deuce roadsters. All women are untrustworthy...
Seriously, It can sometimes be terrifying NOT to be restrained in following my hotrodder instincts, but I'm getting used to it.

The answer to that is....buy more*****! I drag home so much the wife never even notices....what's one more when there's 50 cars behind the shop? It also helps if you can keep the project/swap meet money separate from the household funds...that way she never knows if it was free or if you spent big bucks for it. I can't complain about mine too much....she did let me build a shop bigger than the house!
