    Re: traditional flat finishes, The only one that I know is DuPont Red Oxide primmer!

    (Although a friend of mine would switch to gray when he outran the cops every once and a while.)
     
  2. I grew up in southern California and it was not uncommon to see cars with tinted primer. I had a '55 Buick Special that had light green primer and gloss white paint, a friend had a '56 Ford with a blue metal flake roof and blue primer bottom and another that had a '58 Impala with purple flake top and light purple primer bottom. I don't remember seeing satin finished cars back then but tinted primer was very common.

    Hey thanks man, Honestly i cant believe i didn't know what car that was, still love the look. iv always loved that mint green color but never could seem to picture any of my cars with it, would be a good color on a lowrider 63 or earlier T bird, dont ya think?
