Hey Zach! That is an absolutely blasting ride. I do not know if I have ever seen a roadster that had a better overall impact. This car recapsures the rides of the 1930's. Beautiful!
VERRRRRRRRY NICE!!! This is one I've got to see up close and personal. Congrats on getting it in "shake down mode" Frank
Looks Great! Can't wait to go for a ride, are you going to be home this week? I stopped by on Saturday but noone was home.
Chuck you did the car more than justice, finishing up zach's base amazingly... I love the gauges, and the overall look... damn... being around the guy when he first started the project, you caught zach's mind's eye... the only thing though... gotta agree... black shocks would be nice..
Video link if ya missed it. Dale laid in the pix and some other vid work; backfilled with musical stylings of ****ie Dale... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195264
Your car is my new desktop. Wow. You guys did a beautiful job with that thing. Really is unique and traditional at the same time!
I built it to this point(below) then Chuck did/is doing the finishing work, worked out the bugs and built the motor
Wow. I'm wishing I'da took ya up on the offer instead of getting a "real job", if ya know what I mean. It looks great, you guys should be real proud. Jay
Hey just wanted to tell Chuck thanks for the Red Stripe Beer, good conversation (couple of engin-nerds talking), and the licence plate light. I went over there last night to check out his car. Zach did a great job starting it and Chuck did a great job finishing it! Its really a unique piece with some cool history too. Its got a real smooth running flathead that sounds perfect to me. The car has a really sweet stance. Not too low, not too high. Dig the 17 inch wires, the paint scheme and the interior/dash also. When you sit in it - its kinda like a cross between an Model A and a sports car. Love it. The Detroit area needs more of these traditional cars running around. I hope to add mine to that list in the next year or so! Mike
thanks, Mike! Tail light lamp story: I'd posted up here on tail light lamp choices - and bought a Cobra repop which looked pretty darned cool, IMHO. Moments after ordering, I get an email from Steve S. outta the Erie PA area - he's villlage idiot here on the HAMB. He had an original Hollywood lite and bracket, and he airmailed it to me - free of charge! his reasoning was the car was so 'right' that it deserved a real Hollywood lite...and he wouldn't accept payment. So...Mike pops over and discusses his ride - an A on Deuce rails built to an early 60's spec. Seems that a Lucas lamp would look good on that period piece, so - I paid it forward and gave him the lite I bought. My wife calls this flip-flop karma...someone does you a solid, you repay by doing good for someone else. I got a great lamp - and so did Mike. Thanks, Steve!
