Technical Rear axle bolt pattern?

If you want more confusion, many of the late model vehicles have 12mm studs and torque above 100 lbs. ft. I use them in my current project because the 2015 mustang irs had them. I wanted one size of lugnut. If you go back 30 years in drag racing history, the 1/2 stud in any of the normal bolt patterns was adequate. As has been stated, my t/f car had 5/8".
