I think with the width of rear end you have the spacers are going to be the fix. You’ve already squared things up based on this thread, but wow - not much space between tires and body. Mine has a lot more space, but that’s not saying it’s the only way to do it. If I lowered the coil over adjustment I could be in the same situation you are.

That’s a great looking car - it should be a lot of fun.

Thanks, got the spacers today but the car is getting a snap on top, at the upholsterer for now.

Just loosen the bars un hook them , center the rear end
And adjust them , very simple.

Looks like you got it figured out.
Its rubbing on the front of the wheel arch so the axle needs to move rearward....lengthen all your bars to push the axle rearward.

If one of the tires is still closer to the body, and your bars are equal length.... loosen the body bolts and shove the body over to center it up.

I’m gonna try the spacers to see how the wheels are sitting. Had a friend drive behind me to make sure the car isn’t dog walking. I’m sure it’s not perfect but it’s not a dragster. It’s good for a driver.
Thanks for all the responses and suggestions ;):)

  10. Did you ever check wheelbase from side to side afterwards ?

Yeah! Drive it, work the bugs out and then touch up the spots!
Are the brakes, suspension, steering all good? Exhaust sound good without any cruising drone? Interior comfortable and everything 'in it's place'? No leaks or rattles? Everything still tight after 500 miles? Engine at it's happy place when cruising? Fires off easily when heat soaked? Get all that right then worry about a little spot on the body.
