Does anyone have an idea of what this spring is off of? I bought a Speedway 38” and it’s the same width as my frame. I’m looking for a wider spring (around 42” or so).

    thanks in advance!

Both Posie and Roadster Supply offer a model A style rear spring designed for a 44 inch perch width. I am not aware of a narrower one? Your goal should be for the shackles to be at 45 degrees when loaded which negates the need for a rear panard. I've done 100's of buggy spring (both straight and Model A)rear end chassis with ladder bars in the 40+ years I built customer chassis and never needed a panard.

  4. That looks to me like a Model A spring. Remember the '32 spring has a curve when viewed from the top.
