so i am in the process of hanging the rear end in the 31A i have it bolted to the crossmember now i have to make it true... is there a certain angle the rear end has to be at to operate right or should i mock up the motor and******* and leave the rear end just bolted to the crossmember then make it so it hangs right ?????

    any help appreciated
    thanks tom

  2. What kind of rear-end? Torque tube or open drive shaft?

Best way is to mock up the chassis at ride height, with the rake you intend to run. Its important to have the frame setting as it will when the car is complete, with all parts installed, gas in the tank and the driver in the seat. It'll take some thought and fiddling to get it to that point.

Then install engine and******* and level the carb pad. See how it looks, then play with the engine, trans and rear end until everything is right.
