Man, I sure liked the "hi-tech" aka:"odd", variants back then. Monocoque, aero, sidewinders, et-al. Was always hoping time/technology/knowledge had improved to make/allow them to work correctly, but: no. ;( . Too bad they didn't pan out. Although they also didn't see much development, either, since they weren't instant winners from the get-go. Thought I died & went to heaven when I visited Gsrlits' museum a few yrs(well, ~ 10+ yrs ago by now) ago. A whole lotta my favorites that I thought had been destroyed/s****ped... Marcus...

Initially had a tricycle configuration, but later switched to a four-wheel setup. Hatfield Brothers A/FMR 1964-65 Southern California. Construction completed in November 1964. Unfortunately it crashed in early 1965 at Lions and was never rebuilt.
Love the old-skool look of the early rear engine dragsters ! I 'understand' why they have big wings on the back...but the Tony Nancy dragster and others sure looked sweeet. 6sally6
