History Rear Engined Midget built in Essex, MA does it still exist?

    Pictures are from Pines Speedway in the late 60's early 70's? Built by someone named Perkins I think, clever little bugger, never heard of it 'til now...looks like an Alfa motor

    You can see snow I think in one pic, and one snapshot is marked '68. Man I would love to find this car!

    The late great Mark Donahue in Ken Brenns pusher midget at Lime Rock, early 60s. Similar but I doubt it's the same car (?)

    A friend has one...interestingly enough it looks like the one Donahue is sitting it, but I believe it has Massachusetts history.

    i asked ed perkins today and he told me the car is being restored by someone in the middleton area. i will try to get some more info about the car and post it when i can

    Was that the racetrack in Groveland? if so, I grew up down the street for the remnants of that track. The neighborhood kids and I built BMX jumps all around that place in the mid 80s.

    Seriously though that thing looks bad a$$. I'd love to take that up Pikes Peak in Anger!
