Anyone here run RJay's rear ladder bar set up that would have some pics of their set up? They appear to hang well below the rear end housing from what I can see. I'm thinking of changing my 4 bar to these, I don't like the way the lower bars hang down and stick out like a sore thumb. From what I read, they seem to be the strongest ones out there, DOM tubing, 1/4 in plates, they have some nice looking stuff. I figure with the dropped crossmember they may clear my ch***is.

Their photo, I was seriously thinking about getting a set for my 31 Vicky before I sold it. I don't think that They will be all that noticeable from the rear or side though. if the car is so jacked up in the rear that you see a lot of the lower bar you are also going to see the driveshaft pretty much like a jacked up 4x4.

Best bars out there. I have a set on my 32 ch***is for my A sedan and another set to install in my 39 (after I’m all recovered from my recent hernia surgery). You won’t find a better pair out there. Cory makes a great product.

Sorry to hear about the hernia surgery, Jason. I had to have it done a number of years ago and it was no fun! Be careful letting it heal, you don't want to have it repaired going forward. Good luck,....Don.

  5. They work great!
Depending on the rest of car, it’s set up, stance, ride height and configuration the floor pan may interact with the top bar about the area of that brace.
Parallel design rear suspension doesn’t need to consider or bother the floor pan, most triangular 4 link stuff has short bars to avoid the floor pan.

You can see here that if you’re to start lowering the ride height (beyond the axle cl above the bottom of the frame) or if the floorpan wells drop below the frame it’s going to get tight there

@Mike Colemire , I have RJ bars in my A Tudor. They're extremely well made & with the alliance discount, cheaper than P&J bars. They look racier too.
Here are some pics. I drilled the holes in the axle brackets myself. Pay no attention to the surrounding mess.
If you're concerned with them hanging too low, I could measure them. 20201206_075011~2.jpg 20201206_074655~3.jpg 20201206_074812~3.jpg

I'm not worrying about the ladder bars showing, my lower 4 link bar hangs down to low. I used the frame with some modifications that came with my body when I bought it. The way the frame is made I don't think they will work. Should have cut it off and redone the whole rear section, bad planning on my part. Here's a pic of the side view where you can see the bar, haven't got any of the frame.
