The rear end of my car is 70 Plymouth with leaf springs. I replaced them a couple of years ago with new ones. It rides a little stiff for my liking, so I am considering removing a couple of the leafs. Which leafs would you recommend that I remove? I want little softer ride, but not lower the rear much..

post pics of what you have to work with - just removing leafs may not be the only answer

As soon as I can get my daughter to take pictures, I will, and have her post. It's 4 leafs with air bags on the rear only. Not a four link, just bags mounted on top of leaf springs and a bracket.

No pictures yet. It's your basic leaf spring set up. If has 4 leafs going under the axle, on stock spring hangers? I do have 1" lowering blocks and air bags only on the rear. I reckon I can just experiment to see what happens, just hate to, takes a little time, and have to do it on the garage floor. Don't have a lift, and I'm lazy and old?

Why do you have air bags and leaf springs? Try just normal shocks and see how it rides.

    Yeah, I know?
I drive this old car any where and everywhere. When I drive it on vacation loaded with luggage, plus my cooler, and my faithful 105 lb Golden Retriever, had a problem bottoming out. I just pumped up the air bags to eliminate that, and it works.
