1952-59 Ford rear main seal

My gasket set seems to be missing part of the rear main seal. It has the two pieces of rope gasket but is missing the rubber that goes around the block that goes in the back of the block. Does anyone have a source for a better seal than the rope type? I understand they are problematic as far as leaking.

 

It is an original 239 OHV engine

 

That's stock. You can get a rubber seal for it! I got one for my 1954, 256 mercury at the auto parts store you should be able to get one.

 

Here is a neoprene seal for your engine. I believe the crank journal on your 239 is the same as 272 pr 292.
