thanks for clearing it up. .back in the early 90s( i think) ihra pro modified chassis builders were building 4 bar set ups, and some guy from newzeland came out with a torque arm set up that became the rage, (i think thats right, its been a while) is this the same principal?
Try this, Billy Shope has published a ton of information on rear suspensions over the years. His main website is down, I would love to help him archive some of his stuff if I can. I know maintenance and cost have been an issue. Some of the best, most comprehensive information available. HE produced a DVD last year and I was a fool for not buying one.

Not high tech, but very functional - Axle flip 47 Dodge truck with Ford leafs, Mopar 9.25 with narrowed housing and Moser axles.
Every car I have ever built has had a traditional traverse Model a or Model T rear spring and either split bones or hairpins, but on my current rpu project I wanted to go outside the box a little. What I am using is a three bar setup that is mostly used on lowrider S10 pickups, and coil overs. It fit the bill because I have a very short bed and needed something very compact. Not sure how it rides yet, I will find that out when I finally get the car on the road, but I think it should be fine. Don
