just joining up,looking forward to helping any way i can. i've got a 52 ford mainline with origanl 6 banger. i whant to swap rear out for higher geared rear so i can keep up with my cruizin buddies.what way would be the best to go?
Instead of changing the rearend, look for a factory 3 speed stick/overdrive tranny to swap out for the one you have. It's a bolt-in replacement and it'll give you much better highway speed. Easier than a rearend swap too.
thanks for the reply squablow. i have heard the overdrives are hard to find and if you find one they are exspensive.
