Larry's has one but the very vague instructions on their site don't tell me what I need to know. They said they ship directly from the manufacturer so they cant look at one and get me measurements and did not volunteer where they come from. For $300 and shipping I dont want to gamble on it.

My wager is that they're coming from Lance Herrington at Thnunderbird Southwest (?) in Texas.

Check with NASCAR Dave, he may have some info on sway bars for you.

I believe that Dave is no longer in the business.

Concours Ford used to list front and rear for the '57 to '59. Maybe give them a try. Thunderbird SW had my front bar. They have stuff in stock that is not on their site.

Quickorgarage is no longer apparently, phone disconnected. Bob I remember that Concours could provide me no info as to what theirs might look like and no instruction info either.

I just ordered an Addco #2147 which they list as a 55-57 Mercury. The measurements they provided tell me it should work fine. Won't ship untill August, I was hoping to have installed prior to a trip to Des Moines the first weekend in July. I will report back once I receive it.

Thanks Jeff. I did have a conversation with Dave and he fixed me up. I canceled the Addco order. Should have the bar in a few days.

I ordered one from Dave. He is not really in business but acts as a middle man for a friend who builds them. Hope that is what you are asking.

Could you post Dave's contact info so a member wanting a sway bar could get one ? ;)

Jeff your advice to contact Dave thru a conversation on here is what worked for me. Since he is really not in business anymore I don't feel comfortable posting his number. Best to start a conversation with him I think.

I used a 1979 Ford Thunderbird rear sway bar in my 53 Mercury.
