I have a 8" Ford that I started to narrow on one side to fit a Model A, but I hadn't finished it. I've narrowed (sucessfully) a few rearends and wonder what a narrowed-to- 6-ish inch wide 8" Ford housing about 56.5" to 57" WMS to WMS would be worth. The narrowing would be completed using a line-up bar and the weld done by TIG. I also have a set-up and cleaned 3.00 3rd member and could supply a cut-to-fit axle for the rearend as well, but they would be extra. Oh, I don't have backing plates or brake drums for the rearend.

Next is a 7.5" GM rearend out of a '88 Chevy S-10 pickup. It has 3.73 gears and was used in a pickup that had a T5 overdrive transmission. Width is 54" WMS to WMS. I have all brake hardwayr cleaned, blasted and painted as are the backing plates and brake drums.

Lastly is a T5 out of a S-10 Pickup. Shifts through all gears and seems to turn smoothly.

Any suggestions on how to price would be appreciated. I'm sure shipping costs will affect the interest level. I'm located in Southeast Missouri.

    Thanks

    Lynn

I don’t know about the rearends, but the transmission is at least a couple hundred. If it’s got the Chevy front pattern, add a hundred. If it’s got the mechanical speedo, add a couple hundred.
