I want to change the rearend of my rod from a jaguar into a ford 9" with one cross leaf spring and I am looking for some advice where I can get the needed parts.

In the end it should look like this but with a panhard bar and laid-out for much more power :D

Photos of what you have now with detailed photos of the frame in the area of the rear end might help some of the chassis guys give you some better insight.
They need to know what you have before they can tell you what you need to do to change it.

  3. with the jag rear they probably took out the stock rear crossmember that the transverse spring fits into..that would have to be replaced , either a stock one or a tube one like this from pete & jakes

i like their ladder bars too , but a 4-bar would work

Why not use the banjo rear in the photo? If you want new parts, Currie makes a nice copy of the 9 inch housing. So Cal sells them with the spring hangers and shock mounts already installed. They also have new springs, which are made by Posies.

  7. i can see that the original rear crossmember is gone , as i suspected

looks like they did some nice work..when/where was the car built?

The car was built in sweden in the late seventies. The so cal stuff looks very nice but I think I can't afford it.

I would also prefer wishbones instead of ladder bars.

It looks like you have a 1935-6 rear end there.
You can modify the radius rods to work on your 9",couple mounting tabs,
the 36 ones are way long, shorten and mount very close together near the u-joint.
That spring will work, straight round tube crossmember 7.5" behind axle centerline.
Spring mount plate is easy to make.

    Or all new stuff,ladder bars,spring hangers,crossmember.
I do ship overseas all the time.

I found the first pic on ebay. I only wanted to use it, to illustrate how it should look, because I didn't really know the exact english term for what I am looking for.

Well if you don't have that rear end,the ladder bar set up shown above is simple strong and available .
    PM me back..

  12. i just looked at your pictures again..the rear of your frame has been bobbed very short. i'm not sure if you have enough to mount a replacement crossmember in , at least not a original one , maybe the tube one.. you may have to weld on some replacement rear frame horns too

check out the frame dimensions on wescott's website and put a tape measure to your frame

are you planning on removing the body?
