    Hello,

I'm looking to get a set of four steel wheels blasted and powdercoated and the only quote I've found so far has been for $60 per wheel. That seems a bit steep to me, does anyone know of a better deal than that?

    Let me know,

    Erik

    Hello Erik,

Though I am not familiar with your area, $60 per wheel is a pretty fair & average price to blast & coat a wheel. Locally I paid $55 each, and by the time I prepped, epoxy primed & painted each wheel I would have spent the same or more, not to mention the time it would take.

There might be cheaper, but you know how that can work sometimes:eek:

Good luck whichever route you choose though

    Dan

I do powdercoating on the side. I live about an hour away. I PM'd you,
I usually charge $100 for four wheels and I prep them.

  5. very fair price, blasting them clean, hand prepping, coating and baking is well worth the $60. quoted, if you find it any cheaper, I'd be worried about the quality, remember, your going to get what you pay for, plain and simple.

I just do it on the side, drinking money and I dont do allot of stuff. Mostly stuff I can fit into my small oven. Wheels are easy, they spray quick and I dont have to hang them. I have a friend that blasts a set of 4 for 20 bucks. Thats still $80 for a couple hours of work(or 10min work preping and spraying and 15-20min baking each wheel).
