Reasonable price for a flattie?

    Totally right about the trans, guy told me it was a top loader but from the pics he sent me it is column shifted. I'm atleast going to go look at it and see what he has.

    Bought a motor today. It is a 38 motor 8-1A 24 stud. Got it and the trans for less than half of what the guy with the 40 wanted. It has a remanufactured tag riveted on the bellhousing stating it was rebuilt. From what I can guess (and read) it was rebuilt in the mid 60's and it has 60's red see through spark plug wires on it. Also still has the stromberg on it which is nice. Turns over very nice and the guy said he has put oil down the cylinders regularly and turns it over about once every couple of months. It has been inside since it was pulled. Very clean motor. Hope she is when I get her back home and inspect it.
