I am so impressed with this company and their help once I bought it. Bob is the guy I have spoken to and he has been a big help and I would recommend them with great confidence. Its so nice to call a company and actually speak to someone who knows their product and can understand what I am trying to accomplish, and sometimes I am not the best at explaining what I want to accomplish. Thanks Rebel Wire, Bob and the rest- this has been a great experience- 1964 Ford Falcon 2door hardtop
So how many circuits would be needed for the typical fenderless 26 T RPU ? Any provisions made for particular components ? For example I'd like to run a GM one wire alternator on my Y block and my column started life in a 64 Ford 1/2 ton.
i'm doing a rebel 8 now have done 8-10 other brands and so far rebel is exc. and customer service is outstanding......
ratroy send a pm to glenn33 he is rebelwire ive got 2 of his harness's ones waiting for my 57 the other ive started wiring my shoebox with great product
REBEL WIRE IS THE BEST! Bob even called me back after hours on a Saturday night to help me with a headlight switch issue. Their price, quality and service cannot be beat, so worth the cost.
I've been wiring hot rods, restorations, trucks, etc. since the '50s. Used to buy wire (coded colors: stripes, multi color, cloth) from a place in the Bay Area, Los Altos. 5 years ago used a customer's Painless kit to do his Model A Coupe (streetrod, Vintage Air, Corvette steering column, sound system, extra this and that!) Took 19 days to wire, some circuits seemed to go in a circle (loop) Coming out of the fusebox or going in? I had to backtrack every few wires, plus the owner was getting involved, insisting on soldering everything... A couple months later, we were wiring his '40 Ford sedan (Pontiac powered, and a few 'extras' there, too) Painless again, but I got through it with 4 days' labor, working around a 'glass' guy that was installing windows in the 4-door '40. (he had those windows in-and-out 4 times, never did get the scrapers in right! But that wasn't Painless's fault) Third and fatal time, a friend brought his '54 F100 down to me to rewire. He said the kit was in the front seat...you guessed it. My old friend 'Painless'! This was a bigger pain, because all the controls were different than the "Chevy" type kit. Chevy kit has this multi-plug hanging on the side of the steering column..."Just like the REAL hot rods" (DUH!) All these terminals had to be changed, not too bad...at least they gave me enough length to work with. But there was NOT enough length to put the fusebox on the passenger side. (ever have a fuse blow on the side of the freeway and have to kneel with the drivers door open with trusted folks whizzing by on the street side???) Anyway, a young friend had me drop over to his shop to show me his car. Chopped '34 is getting Rebel wire, he showed me the kit. Rebel for me from now on, sensible kit with obvious direction. That phone number isn't bad, either.
Just to set the record straight, Da Tinman and I are brothers from different Mothers....With that said Thanks for all the props guys. Rebel Wire makes a great product at a reasonable price but it's you, our customers that have made the Rebel Wire name Great! We have had so much support from the Hamb community and I thank you for that. I have learned a lot from the members that have purchased and installed our harnesses and many of the upgrades in our products have been because of you. Even our instruction book was re-drawn buy a Hamber. It is with great regret that I must tell you all that I will no longer be selling Rebel Wire products....Not to fret though. Bob Miller the owner is now selling retail and has agreed to give all Hamb members the same discount that I have offered you over the last four years. If you have any questions or would like to get the Hamb discount please give him a call at 423-263-5399. His website is www.rebelwire.com Thanks for everything guys. Glenn

Thanks guys...And Man, Breeder thinks I'm pretty even if you don't. Wait, that's not a good thing is it....
I have the 9 + 3 kit setting on the work bench, wating to be installed in my T Bucket as soon as it gets a little warmer here.
Glenn, you don't look nothin' like Charlie!?! Ah, the Kropduster bond. Retired??? Welcome.... you think you were busy before??? Hope your sittin' in your chair early on a certain October Friday morning.
Just called Bob and ordered the 9+3 kit for my RPU. Also got the 180 degree fan switch and relay kit, so that if I decide to go with an electric fan I'll have what I need. Bob was great to deal with, very glad I went with Rebel.
Since so many here have installed the kits, I have a question. I have a harness that 'could' be fixed in my car. If I remove it and go with the Rebel harness, how about the connections? I'm trying to leave the exact model out here to make the answer work for the group. I'm talking about the 90 degree slip fits on the back of the instruments, the 2 wire connectors for the front turn signals, the 4 wire harness connector for the rear harness, and the tail light connectors. How about the sending unit, alternator and coil connections? Some of these are special to the vehicle, some can be upgraded to more modern functional and safe designs, and some are for ease or servicing. Are you able to discuss this in advance and order with the kit, are you buying these separately local, are you having to get a GM weatherpack service kit (for example) to finish the job?
