Can anyone direct me towards a source for rebuild/ assembly info or a manual to purchase. I talked to Richmond and they don't have a service manual. I bought this used and want to ensure that it is good to go before installing in my avatar. Thanks,Joel
Here's a link to an owner's manual It's has some useful info in it...might help. http://www.waterlifemagazine.com/HorsePowerMagazine/Richmond5SpeedManual.pdf Once you get the whole manual loaded, save yourself a copy to your computer. It will load much quicker from your hard drive.
Here is the contact info for a guy that just did a Doug Nash 4+1 for me. Manual transmissions is all he does. Been doing it since 1969, so he knows what he is doing and he is reasonable. Dave Waugh Shop (562) 693-0855 Cell (562) 325-7539. He is located in Santa Fe Springs, CA

I don't know why the guy from Richmond didn't offer, but the HAMB comes through again. Thanks flthd31. 1gearhead, Cal is a little far, but I appreciate your input. I'm doing the trans now because it is raining and cold here and I can't do body and paint outside..yet.
I 'm looking for some decent prices on the small parts and seals for the reassembly. Jegs has the stuff, but it''s pricey. I may replace the 5th gear syncro hub and definitely the the rear mainshaft brg. Lots of excess RTV to remove.
