rebuild kit for rochester 2bbl

buddy of mine has a 64 chevy pickup thats got a 283 in it with a rochester 2bbl (2g i think?) how much would a rebuild kit go for usually.

Aught to be able to buy one over the counter or next day order at any of the discount parts houses for under $20. The last one I bought was $16 I think, I get it home and open it and it's the wrong inner box - of course you can't return it after you open it. Result: The whole mess is in a box in the ba*****t -
