I can not rap my head around a Engine That 3,000 hp if you purchase straight up all new 125 k plus No trans , No car
A result of the above. That motor may have been "cranky" before, but it is not any more. I suspect it had a little extra help from something, didn't do that on pump gas. I was at a car show a couple years ago that had a portable dyno you could test your HP. The entire set up was on a semi trailer. When I was walking by, they were tying down a Chevy truck with a turbo diesel. A few minutes later I was a ways down the show grounds when we could hear the turbo and the diesel winding up. It was screaming pretty loud at some pretty high rpms, when we heard the big boom, and then the sound of shrapnel bouncing off metal! It was not a good sound at all. I chose not to venture towards that end of the show afterwards. From what I heard, there were no serious injuries, but it was a mess. I fail to understand why you would want such a thing at a car show. I can't imaging the liability that would be attached to something like that.
Ahh! Just another great memory from the good old days of racing... Another bragging right! Wins are cool. Spectacular, proven losses provide evidence of the effort excreted between those wins! "You think you broke a motor bad? Let me show you what we did to one!"
I am aware of this crank exiting , I believe in that incident wet stock block & broke mains cap bolts , lucky it was @ tree . Just never seen dry block split horizontal @ Cam Crank , mains , rod out the bottom . The pic I posted Yes power adder I think F-1 Pro Charger or One big Turbo , & there many racers using Blower , Turbo's Plus Nitrous oxide Then on Alky & adding Nitro . " 3 power adder's " & maybe some with Hydrazine , its still available and what they're are doing there's no rule against. Just dangerous to handle & tic tock wants added .
