1952-59 Ford rebuilding a manual steering box

    Does anybody have some insight on rebuilding a 54 ford steering box?

    I had mine up on the bench. Cleaned out all the hardened grease, adjusted it by the book, refilled it with 100% STP, and it works great. The book says the bearing pre-load is most important, and on the bench is how they say to do it.
