Larry Dixon is there running his second gen Nova so you have at least one driver that can sign off on a "fuel" license for you.
Looks like he didn't make it. Hell of a effort, he just needed some more time to sort the bugs out. If not hurt, I hope he pushes on just to sort it a bit.
It's only 3:00 pm there , & staging lanes are closed !!! damn, we run all the way up till 11 o'clock at night
THIS IS DRAG WEEK. everything has to be packed up and at the next track early in the morning, lots of these gyys on the HOTROD crew and the racers get NO SLEEP!
Well at least now they can go at their own pace and get things sorted out for the rest of the week. One hell of an effort for sure.
It's down the page a lot .... http://www.hotrod.com/articles/weird-cars-combos-components-nitro-2016-hot-rod-drag-week/
As far as I know Brian is OUT. You must trip the light tower to be counted as a run. According to the rules. From what I saw on the live stream, he did not make it back into the staging lanes before they closed. They ran 370 some cars today, and two guys hit the wall. One that hit the wall on the big and was a 7 second car. One of the most crazy first days in drag week history. Jim got a good run in today, and headed for the next track. That is some good news.
