Works great, looks great and makes me feel happy inside to see it back where it belongs; past the three and at WOT
Real nice shakedown run. Brian says the 1/8 time equates to 8.20-8.30 in the quarter. Sent from my SM-N910V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Takes a full crew for an operation like this. Brian showed my son, Arlo (3) how to properly gap spark plugs. You know, in the middle of changing tires, exhaust, plugs, oil, disengaging the mag drive, running the valves and numerous other things. Squirrel & co. got in on the fuel coupe action too. its really upsetting that these pics keep going side ways. Any way here are the plugs from that pass. Number one is on the left. Notice how the ground straps are burned off the two plugs. This is a lean condition. Its caused by the blowed screwing more air into them. Thats normal actions of the blower. To cure that bigger nozzles need to go into the front four cylinders. We can also put a smaller pill in the main. Or we can put less percentage in it but who wants to do that. By adding more fuel it will hit alot harder. Tuning one of these beasts takes time. Its all fun until its upside down and on fire doing cartwheels. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Very interesting. From what I have seen, and I do not know nitro, the front cylnds seem to run lean, even on the cackle cars. But I am just speculating, could be wrong.
getting young kids involved is fun. Getting kids into positive activities sure pays off later. I see a future crew member here. It made my day to hang out with him. Thanks for bringing him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yes the fronts do run lean. The rotors force the air forward. Its not uncommon for fuel cars to control the cylinder temps by using different thickness gaskets side to side or different pistons dome heights. Either way the temp needs to be controlled. We aslo run a center divider in our hot heads manifold to control fuel distribution. Blown nitro is a very unique animal. Im fortunate to have some very skilled people on my team.
