Technical Rebuilding GM 261 to put in my 1950 Chevrolet Styleline

    Im having a hard time finding a rebuild kit or even parts to do the rebuild for my 261. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

    Kanter lists three kits from 1115.49 to 1699.38. And most parts loose. Or you could try The Filling Station. Check with Inliners International for more, better information.

    Everything you need should be available from your local NAPA or even Rockauto at friendlier prices than Egge or Kanter

    (where do you think they get their stuff?)
     
  6. I went to Egge , Isky and Summit.
    Summit needs part numbers so I called Melling first. I still have them in my notes.
    I had a bad experience with Patrick's.
