I rebuilt an engine for my brothers 59 Ford 15 years ago, using generous amounts of Moly Lube on the cam. Now it's dry and out of suspension. Should I pull the cam and re install, or just prelube and go. I have never had a rebuild sit this long, and I don't think he will ever fire it to be honest, so it may be a while before I mess with it again.

The way I've seen it go, the dried moly can stop up your oil pump pickup screen. I'd take it apart and clean it up.

That and the lube most likely won’t do it’s thing on start up/break in. Then you have to tear it all apart and get pieces of the cam out of the p***ages.
Please don’t ask me what a dumb *** I am, er, was;)
