Rebuilt Flathead Ford Toploader Transmission - SOLD

Completely rebuilt 1939 style toploader transmission for sale. This transmission includes a 1936 gearbox combined with excellent used 1946 gears and synchros with new bearings, shafts, thrust washers, synchro balls and springs, and shifter detent balls and springs. The transmission was assembled with the correct parts to ensure that internal endplay meets Ford's specifications; this transmission will not jump out of gear! The front bearing retainer is the later style with a new lip seal for oil retention. The top is the 81A double-detent style that matches the late blocker synchro design. The brass synchro rings in this transmission are used, but in excellent, like new condition. As offered, the transmission includes a new 1942-48 clutch release shaft on new bushings, the 1942-48 style rear bearing retainer/transmission mount, and a good used universal joint. Throwout bearing, hub and return spring are not included, and a shift lever is not included.
