Huck Finn Inc sold pontoon boats and plans in the late 60s-70s. The name is still in use today but I believe it’s another company. The original went under a while ago.
That's cool to know about the Huck Finn boat wheel. It actually came with the engine controller for an outboard, which I saved to resell since I'm sure someone can use that, and a post type steering column, which I suppose you'd call the "helm", although it's very generic and I doubt that has any value.
scored this little beauty the other day for £200 .. fella threw in a spare front axle and a decent trunk lid..
No idea what I will do with it yet.. It appeared on ebay, was within 40 miles of home , auction started at £200 with a buy it now at £400. I bid 200 to eliminate the buy it now and sat on it for a whole week fully expecting to be outbid. Logged in just 43 seconds before the auction end .. and no other bids .the trunk lid was worth the buying price I have the other one further up the thread , ( Page 12) To be honest that one needs a lot of love , so perhaps it will be quicker to use this body and save a bit of time , chop it to fit the doors ??? but on the other hand, a glass flip front and a pair of glass doors!!!!!! , I have access to a 283 or a spare flathead V8 , but before I go taking myself in that direction I have a couple of near complete projects to attend to
So, my wife found these cleaning out boxes at her parents house. Pretty cool addition to my collection! Even found a first edition of Rod Builder and Customizer.
I bought this at an estate sale of a guy who owned a Chevy dealership in Maryland The banner at the right is hard to read in my photo. It says Chevrolet's greatest year a half million cars in 1925 make 1926 bigger
A Snow Cat might be the best hot rod to drive in MN this week! Hope it all melts soon. Daughter has been sending pics, you got a lot. Pretty sure I didn't see a 4 wheel drive in your stable..
The local NAPA store changed owners . The new owner changed the name and didn’t want this sign on the side of the building anymore. It was held on with 1x2 boards . The first board came off with a gentle pull . A few more wind storms and it would have came down by itself.
We had a picture like that in the hallway of our office building. Everyone in a suit and tie, all staring at the camera. I cut a black and white pic of a nude girl out of a magazine, took the picture apart and placed her in one of the vacant chairs. It looked perfect and stayed on the wall for years. I was told a visiting exec. getting a tour pointed it right out. They always thought it was me but I never confessed and the picture never graced the wall again.
Late night outage, stopped in to drop off tools. Didn’t tell a soul, thought someone would notice it next day. Stayed up for years. They even painted the wall once.
So of course marketplace got me again. This was only about 3 minutes from work and figured for $80. would look nice in the corner or my garage. Still needs a lil more cleanup yet.
