Scored these today super neat National Wheel Covers - Racer Chrome 16” full hubcaps… stamped May 24 1962 shipped to local Minneapolis Minnesota “Coast to Coast store”
Fakebook Marketplace score, barn fresh Murray pedal car. It's said the design was influenced by the 59 Ford.
Beautiful day here, in the 70’s. Figured I’d put some miles on my ‘62 as the engine isn’t even broken in yet. So drove 100 miles to pick up an old multimeter I bought online. Car was running so good I just kept driving and hit a resale/antique store I like to hit every couple months. My wife is a huge Pepsi fan, and we always seem to run into great Coke items but not Pepsi. Scored this thermometer cheap. The glass bulb is missing, and it was pretty bent. Well 5 minutes with a dolly, and 5 minutes on EBay to find a replacement thermometer later, all is good. Just threw it up on the shop wall till the glass bulb arrives. Also found some old auto headlight bulbs. I assume the ones in the box are the ones that were pulled out way back when. I have no idea the era, but it looks old, and the price was right Ended up putting 175 miles on the old Mercury today!
What year are these grilles? I'm guessing Chevrolet 1940 - 1941, are all models the same in those years? Thanks! Bob
I'm surprised there wasn't a version of this game with an automotive theme. Some challenges for things like Remove Bent Connecting Rod, Replace Slipped Clutch Disk, Repair Knee-Action Shock Absorber, Install Metering Rods, Replace Wrist Pins, Split Wishbones, etc.
Fantastic! I knew I couldn't be the first one to think of that. I'll need to spend more time at yard sales and thrift shops, but I imagine those have to be fairly rare.
BARBER SHOP CHAIR by Emil J. Paidar , Chicago == Restored back in the 1970's, sure looks like IMRON that we all thought was great back then. After I take Hank for a walk it will be in the classified section. Bob
My Iola swap meet haul. Really didn't need any more signs or wall hangers but when they're cheap I can't resist. Have needed a just-slightly-used '57 Chevy hood bar for a while, happy to get one that matches the rest of the chrome on my car better, and a few other bits that I can actually use on cars and not just hang up.
That's cute. I haven't used Facebook Marketplace for a while now, especially after the last scam I encountered there. It was quite a frustrating experience, and I’ve been cautious about using it since then. However, I had a good experience with PWCC Marketplace customer service. Although PWCC is less well-known compared to Facebook Marketplace, their support team was very helpful and responsive, which made a big difference.
Got this recently, there was a Champion plant nearby, not sure when or how this was liberated. It is plywood bottom with solid wood sides and twice stencilled. The box is stapled together with later galvanized metal wear plates nailed on. It has handles and nests into another box. If you were at the end of the line and piled these babies full of sparkplugs onto pallets, all day long, I expect you earned your pay check.
Got another call to do a clean out. This is the good stuff. There was a second pile that hit the scrap metal bin.
Got this new chrome wire wheel earlier today and hosed off the dust. WHAT BRAND IS IT? Once I know it will be in the classified section. Thank You! Bob
