THANKS! I'll have to figure out how that works. My 12 year old Grandson has a cellphone that can do something like that, and he is making money, very proud of him. Bob

IMG_2480.jpeg IMG_2482.jpeg IMG_2481.jpeg IMG_2483.jpeg Today’s finds. Payed up for the exhaust light/clock, but the guy knocked some off when we tested it and the clock didn’t work. Should be an easy fix.
The Monroe cup was cheap, I’m guessing 60’s-early 70’s?
Now, can anyone have info on this spotlight? It says “Casco…..”
    And “Model 40”
By the Art Deco look, I think it may be older than the seller thought. It has some blemishes, but 90% is just grime that wipes off with a wet finger. Haven’t cleaned or tested it yet, as I just got home. I may put it for sale if anybody needs it for a build.

Had time to research the spotlight. Pretty much a wall hanger I guess. It looks a lot cleaner than the ones I see on FB and eBay, but not really valuable. Not complaining, I got it dirt cheap!

Found these ancient Snap On needle nose pliers I had put away and forgotten about. Vacuum grip might be a reference to the handles. Like an octopus tentacle!

My Twin Daughters fixed chicken fried steaks one Saturday night for their spouses. They didn’t have a meat tenderizer hammer so one of them grabbed a claw hammer and pounded away . I found one at the flea market and cleaned it up for them to use . IMG_9801.jpeg

  7. We called it the meat smasher back in the '70s.

  8. Not a recent acquisition, but one that I rediscovered today while looking for something else. I remember my Dad giving it to me as a kid, but based on the California mailing address, he must have had it for a while before that. Unfortunately, there’s no post mark, so I don’t know exactly how old it is. It’s a simple cardboard jigsaw puzzle of a fire truck, with the box and the original outer mailing box. Enjoy.

This bladder is so cool! I love that you can see the date on it!

Vacuum grip pliers where made for snap on by the company vacuum grip. Both Snap On and Vacuum Grip used the same "tentacle suction cup" style grips.

  10. Today's score. A 1957 and 1960 HRM. Quite possible I already have both. But I know I don't have a single HRM with the complimentary magazine sticker card like the 57 issue and the 57 issue is mint. Plus id eventually love to have doubles of my collection so I can carefully mount and display a full years worth in a picture frame IMG_20240907_155735263_HDR.jpg

  20. Picked these up in a box lot at the auction. Yes, I bought the whole box just for these. Ceramic feet, about 5 inches long. I know that they aren’t Eelco, Cal Custom or Hang Ten, but they still have that tiki, MCM, surfer vibe going on. They can live peacefully in the tiki collection.

I'm going to guess it bolts on the front of a late Flathead cam and drives the normal distributor.

If things go as planned the Mission Bell story will be a great one. Good to have credit with swap meet vendors, otherwise I'd only have books to show, and idea what the center console is from?
