I am not sure if I like this one half as much as my previous post. Certainly the only one I have ever seen, and makes me wonder if that power plant might solve a lot of fitment problems!
Bought this 1964 Austin 1/2 ton pickup some weeks ago. Did not need another project but at 600,- I could not pass. It's LHD so I guess this makes it quite rare. It has a lot of dings and dents from a hard working life and the cabin floor, tailgate and rockers are shot, but otherwise it's quite solid. Those can be built into nice little customs so that's the way I want to go. (pics were made by previous owner last summer):
Yeah, would be nice, but it does not exactly fit into the HAMB criteria as it's a british car. Maybe I give it a try as other Customs made from European cars have slipped through before. Here's a nice example of a similar Austin turned into a Custom.
Junkyard hunting yesterday. Got an ambassador wheel cover, ford hubcap, Stewart Warner Amp gauge, and some other brand pressure gauge
@Greenblade That Niehoff gauge was made by Stewart Warner. They were sold at Napa stores as their house brand.
Found this grille online. Bought it from a guy in California. Said that he bought a bunch of old midget race car parts, and this was in there. Not able to get any other history on it. Definitely home made, and welded together by someone with some decent skills. No idea what the round hole was for. Maybe someone on here recognizes it, or knows what car it used to be on.
@Dean Lowe is the man. I sent him a picture of the above grille, and he identified it as an Edmunds sprint car grille. Of course, you need to quit looking at it sideways… like I had been doing all day.
Awesome! Mine works great. It immediately replaced my newer dremel as my go-to. It is a bit slower but doesn't seem to bog as easily.
I bought these today. I dont know what Ill do with them. They are pretty rough. I sure dont need them, ijust hated to see it all go to waste.
Went to a swap meet today . A Friend had a booth there. He had found this , sent me a picture of it before I got there and got it for me
Steve...a guy came in this morning with a complete set of four 14x6 Spiders, Chevy bolt pattern, with caps for $450. Gene.
I picked this up today. Its gonna go under the car in the picture below. Its an original 55 frame left over from a high end street rod build. Super nice condition with power steering and 4:10 gears. Craigslist find.
